| Taken from Karlson and Arian - (enjoy!)
The object is to think of your ultimate Hollywood Five-Man Super Team. There are only four rules:
- The members of your team must be part of the Hollywood zeitgeist - That is, the members of your team need to have been in a movie or T.V. show.
- The members of your team must be human - Which means none of the non-useless characters from Alien Vs. Predator.
- The members of your team must not have super-powers - You can't pick Superman, as flying, heat-vision, and overall indestructibleness is super-human. Plus, he violates rule 2.
- You must explain your reasoning for picking your team members - Why did you consider putting this person on your team?
5. Macgyver
- I need someone that can make things explode with a stick of gum.
- Doesn't need a gun.
4. Jason Bourne
- Best first name in the world
- Sharpshooter - never misses and rarely gets shot
- The driver. Ever notice the car in chase scenes, it can take a beating and keep going on and on.
3. Inspector Lee (Jackie Chan) from Rush Hour
- Some synergy. Macgyver can make anything. Lee can use them in fights.
- Can speak chinese AND uses slang from the hood.
- "You go this way. I go that way."
2. Xena, Warrior Princess
- Only one that can throw that chakram, hit 50 things, and come back to her.
- Amazing jumping ability
- Sword expert
1. Pam Beesly from The Office
- Answer those phone calls and type out those memos!
- Make me smile and motivate me to get some work done.
- She is just simply hot and cute.
Honorable Mentions - Neo from the Matrix (does Matrix powers count? or is that too confusing?) Selene from Underworld (she was human, then turned into a vampire. does that work? She's like 100+ years old, but still very beautiful.) Boomer from Battlestar Galactica - she can crash us on a planet or shoot me anyday. Too bad she isnt human.
OKAY. wow. I am not a nerd, but this has to be one of the nerdiest things I've ever done. Macgyver, Xena.. like what the. Dont give me that look. I seriously couldnt think of anyone better that wasnt already taken.

| For those that think they are alone in this battle known as Quarterlife Crisis. There are probably millions of twenty-somethings just trying to figure this thing called life after college. There are those various new concerns. Non-college experience, balancing time, managing own money, finding that career and place to live, thinking about the future. In retrospect, this isnt suppose to be a downer article. Instead, I realize a lot more people around the world go through this adjustment and figuring-out-life period. I think everyone does! For me, I have one final piece of the puzzle to go. And right now, its okay to wait for it. | | |
| Yosemite - half dome? more like quarter dome - didnt make it up all the way cause someone who shall not be named (Vince) got bad cramps on the way up. 6 miles up and 6 miles down was enough for us. That is some cold fresh streaming water. I was trying to reach in. and i almost fell in!
Gordon and me with our casual cool poses.
Pat cooling off his feet.
Pat: "Quick... Jason... flirtatous face....."
...... I tried...
 And up we go....
Vince and I next to one of the many waterfalls.
Overall fun trip with just us cousins. Good time to refresh and think in peace.

| Gooooooooooooooood book.
It mentions the story of Jonah. God told him to go to Nineveh, but he decided to go as far away from Nineveh as possible. Was he successful in running from God? In spite of Jonah’s insistence on doing things his own way and going where he wanted to go, he ended up in Nineveh anyway, doing what God asked him to do in the first place. And he got there using a less than pleasant mode of transportation! Our attempts to do our own thing only cause us grief and delay God’s will for our lives. We need to surrender immediately to His will, because no matter how hard we fight, He will always win! And also the power of prayer. As Jonah was in the belly of a fish for three days, he prayed to the Lord. God will ALWAYS answer sincere and unselfish prayers! Second chance... Finally, in the story of Jonah, the Lord's compassion. God loves His people so much that He provides for them, that He never gives up on them even though they turned away from Him. Can you love someone that turns away from your love?
And apparently, there is a lot of qualities and words I didnt initially associate with leadership. It isn't simply stepping up and doing what God says. It isnt just being a role model and example witness. It requires time and it's a learning process to be a leader for the Lord. Leaders face the most trials, tough times, costs, and consequences. Great leaders don't only overcome the unpleasant times, but they build and grow from struggles to better SERVE as a leader.
and finally.... life is a marathon not a sprint. | | |
| Washington Mutual Bank - August 9th - Thursday 5:24 pm - (me) : Hello, I'd like to setup my account for <yada yada> . (teller) : Sure. Is this by yourself? (me) : <??> (teller) : Or is this with your wife? (me) : <my what? I'm years if not a decade away from that. my face literally looked like this = > <five second pause> (me) : Yeah, just me.
Currently Reading - Job. And again, wow... what trials. Listen to this, Job; stop and consider God's wonders. - Job 37:14
Sometimes, we focus on what God WILL do instead of what God IS doing. There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said "Do you need help?" and the man said "God will save me". Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said "God will save me", then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, "God, why didn't you save me?" and God said "I sent you two boats, you dummy!" "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." - Matthew 6:33-34
Upcoming Event - 17th to 20th - a cousins' trip (4 of us)
